As a Power Network Engineer Apprentice, you’ll gain a broad range of invaluable experience and knowledge in a variety of structured placements and formal courses.
You’ll be working outside with our industrial and engineering colleagues and will get involved with the design aspects of power engineering. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to experience first-hand, the work of our external suppliers and partner organisations, gaining a broader understanding of how our assets are designed and manufactured.
Once you’ve successfully completed all required elements of your training programme you’ll be appointed to a challenging and rewarding engineering role within our business.
Have you got what it takes to apply?
To qualify you will have GCSEs (Grade 5 or above) or equivalent (Grade C or above) in Mathematics and English Language, and one of the following:
•Two A-Levels or 2 AS/A2: Grades A*- C (one must be in either Mathematics, Physics or Engineering)
•BTEC National Certificate Level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Merit or above)+
•Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Merit or above)+
•ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Merit or above)+
+It is essential the Mathematics modules are at Merit or Distinction
Programme duration: Three years
Starting salary: £25,000 increasing to circa £43,000 on successful completion
